The Tata Nexon EV comes with two battery options 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh. The smaller battery variant has a range of about 275 km, while the larger one has a range of 390 km. It also leads in performance Power is up to 141 bhp and Torque is up to 215 Nm. Charging time is almost the same for both about 56 minutes for 10-80% DC charging.
Real-world range Does truth still shine?
There is a difference between the range claimed by the company and the actual drive. The tested range of the MG Windsor EV is around 308 km, while the actual range of the Nexon EV (40.5 kWh) is 350 km. This shows that the Nexon EV proves to be slightly better in practical use.
Driving Performance Who Runs Faster
The test drive showed that the Windsor EV was slightly faster initially, but as the speed increased, the Nexon EV took a significant lead at 120 km/h, the Nexon was ahead by about 1 second. This means that more frequent drivers on the highway will find the Nexon better.
Safety and Technology Features
Both cars offer safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera. The Windsor only gets rear parking sensors while the Nexon has both front and rear, along with a blind view monitor.
Price and battery subscription benefits
The Windsor EV starts at ₹9.99 lakh ex-showroom, but this includes a battery subscription (BaaS) model ₹3.5 per km charge on continuous use. The Nexon EV is priced between ₹12.49 lakh and ₹16.29 lakh.
Which EV is the right EV for you
If you are looking for a low starting price and a feature-rich interior, the MG Windsor EV is an attractive option it offers a luxurious experience with a large graphical display, panoramic roof, and comfortable rear seat.
On the other hand, if your priority is long range, better real-world performance, and reliable charging, the Tata Nexon EV will satisfy more. Its tested range and robust body make it a practical EV.
